The idea of a solitary existence or experience have always fascinated me.  I am interested in capturing a quiet moment of reflection.  I believe these moments are often filled with an emotional depth that is often unseen.  Perhaps my fascination is tempered by my own solitary experience and contemplation.  I believe there is an inherent depth to a lonely portrait.  A level of vulnerability, frankness, and rawness that lays bare for all to see.  There is nothing to hide behind.  The subject is left to confront his/her own world.  A potentially mundane, frighting, or fulfilling experience.
